I just returned from a family road trip which took us from our home in LA up the coast highway (rte 1) with the ultimate destination being San Francisco. What a great trip! We had a ton of fun and saw and did so many cool things but one big black eye on the whole ordeal was the fact that we passed so many great golf courses and I didn't get to play one hole. Well, actually I did but it was at the rattiest 9 hole course at the San Simeon Pines which is free to play for guests and the only club needed (literally) is a PW - no putter necessary as the "greens" look like they're mowed every 2-3 weeks and putting is impossible. It was good family fun though and we played with drinks in our hand while carrying our 1 club each.
Our next stop was to Santa Cruz to spend the day on the boardwalk where we ran into a guy wearing a Tattoo Golf shirt which was cool to see. Santa Cruz is listed in the Top 10 best boardwalks in the U.S. and I'd have to agree with that ranking because they really do have it all up there. Perfect weather, great rides, tons of food options, and a complete freak show of customers!
The following day we stopped by Pebble Beach where we had lunch on the terrace overlooking the 18th green. What a place! Too bad I didn't have more time or a spare $500 lying around. Checked the shops on the property but there didn't seem to be a lot of interest for the Tattoo Golf clothing line unfortunately! Maybe next time. Oh, and lunch for 3 with only 2 beers plus tip - $88. But, worth every penny for a view like that.
Sporting the Clubhouse T-shirt and the Clubhouse golf hat. Check out the entire Tattoo Golf apparel line at Tattoo Golf Clothing.
