Last year Tattoo Golf was well represented at the World Championships and this year will be now different with both Big Mike Dobbyn and last year's runner-up, Jeff Crittenden, both competing and getting byes into the round of 64 so we have great expectations for them to both go deep into late rounds. How about a 1-2 finish - an all Tattoo Golf finish! Well, we can dream can't we?! Here's a blurb from the official Long Drivers site.
"Jeff Flagg (Pelham, Ala.), a former
first baseman with the New York Mets minor league organization who played
collegiate baseball at Mississippi State University, captured the 2014 World
Long Drive Championship title by a mere 13 inches over professional golfer Jeff
Crittenden (43, Greensboro, N.C.). When both competitors hit drives that
measured 365 yards, Flagg's 13 extra inches proved to be the shortest margin of
victory in the history of the World Long Drive Championship. Both competitors
are in the field."
Yeah that was pretty exciting last year but unfortunately the rules then were "Winner take all" so Jeff got nada. This year they are paying down to the 16th position with 2nd place getting a cool $30,000 - not bad at all!
Watch for Jeff and Mike and if you like what they're wearing, head on over to www.tattoogolf.com and grab some for yourself!
