When not working tirelessly to bring you some of the coolest golf gear on the planet we love getting out and playing a few rounds and we especially love playing in match play format tournaments! Bill and I (Greg) own the place and right now we are both in the midst of our clubs' match play championships. Bill just won his match at his course to reach the final four so congrats on that. I just won my semi-final round, 1-0, on Saturday to advance to the finals so very excited about that!
I had the added pressure of playing a woman who had obviously beaten 3 previous opponents to reach the semis so she was a solid player. We battled back and forth with her going up 2 on the front 9 and then I coming back to 2 up with 6 to play. She took a hole from me on 14 so now I'm one up. We pushed 15, pushed 16 and then I put my approach shot to 2 feet on 17 for birdie. Just knock it in and we're done but I pulled the putt and almost died! Now we have to go to the 18th where she gets a 40 yd advantage by playing from the women's tee box and my nerves are shot because I should have had the damn thing won already. Luckily we pushed and I won the match.
