This game of golf is certainly a humbling one! I've written about my Jekyll and Hyde golf game before but I thought I'd turned a corner with my game as it was much improved over the past 6 months. Besides the fact of a 4 point drop in my index, I just felt good hitting the ball and the game became much easier to me as I went on to win the match play tournament at a club I play at here in L.A. In fact my last post was about how Tattoo Golf brought home the hardware! Well that's seemingly gone out the window with my last two rounds being complete disasters! Yesterday evening I Played 9 holes in 58!! I popped up my drive on 1 then hit a smokin hybrid just short of the green so feeling good about that naturally and then I skulled my chip and it was downhill thereafter.
The driver, forget about it, so i bagged that. Hybrids were either chunked or hit with a weird sinker ball effect that had the ball flight going about 10 feet off the ground and then diving down to die out 80 to 100 yards down the fairway. Very bizarre. Nothing felt comfortable, a complete mess and confidence is shot. WTF!!
